All i can say is Tea is for mugs
PS They reckon that Beer contains female hormones and I think they are right.

After 8 pints I talk rubbish and can't drive!

A whistle was sometimes moulded out of the clay forming the tankard's handle. The drinker could use it to attract the attention of the staff.
Hence the phrase "to wet your whistle"
All i can say is Tea is for mugs
