Off to Amsterdam part 2

Hi again, firstly let me say THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who answered my first question. I have a somne new info on my trip plus another question.

1) me and my mum are going for 4 days in august

2) her friend and her family are coming with us

3) her friends daughter is in a wheelchair which brings me to my question.......How are facilities for wheelchair users in Amstersdam in terms of transport, buildings, streets etc? Thnak you!

Hate to say this but from what I remember of my one visit to Amsterdam all the buildings have really steep stairs. The streets are fine (its all flat) but the buildings are narrow and steep.
