i made an offer private sale on monday accepted and we have exchanged solicitors ,my financial advisor aranging the mortage how long should it be till we exchange and coplete the seller is not in a chain neither am i ! thanks

I bought my house the same way and it took 6 weeks.

It depends on your situation - we bought ours recently and it took months as my partner is self employed and the mortgage took about 3 months to come through. It finally came through the day we threatened to pull out!

Your Solicitor can not really do much until they receive a copy of your Mortgage Offer so it is down to your financial advisor to push the mortgage company.
