There's no sign of a recession yet. April's retail sales were up 0.6% on the month - and 5.6% higher than a year ago. Sales of clothes and shows were especially high - 11% more than a year ago. At the moment, the Uk has the lowest cost of living increase in Europe - and unemployment has fallen to its lowest since 1975.
