desktop flickering

i have just installed windows 7 in my computer and ive just noticed that the screen flickers now and again and i was wondering if anybody knows how to stop this because its getting a bit annoying now.

It's possible, but not very likely that this is a problem due to Windows 7
Did you run the upgrade advisor first?
Have you checked that your video adaptor is compatible?
Have you checked for an updated driver?

Personally, I would be more inclined to check for:
Loose connection between monitor and computer
Badly seated video card (if it's not integrated into the motherboard)
Faulty monitor - have you got another monitor you can try?

If you did a clean install did you install all the drivers for your computer on top?

Have you checked if theri are any updated drivers that may have been tested un Windows 7?
