Connecting a PC to a HD TV for a monitor
Hi. I want to use a HD TV as a monitor for my PC. I bought a VGA to YPbPr cable but it won't work(anyone know why?). The one HDMI socket is being used and I'm having trouble locating a VGA to SCART IN cable.
Anyone have any ideas?

Is this a laptop? if so you need to turn on the VGA output, normally by holding down the FN key and pressing one of the F keys, look for one with either a pic that looks like a monitor or will say something like LCD/CRT on it

I've just read your question properly (really should get in the habit of doing that before answering LOL)
need a bit more information from you, as not all graphics cards will support component output via the VGA port.
What graphics card do you have, and what are the available connection on both the computer and the TV

Sorry for the delay.I can't find details of the graphics card. The monitor is an Intel Integrated video, 15 pin, Intel(R) G33/G31 express chipset family. This probably isn't what you want to know. The TV has HDMI, 3 YPBPbPr, YPbPr, DVI audio input, scart and antenna sockets. PC has the usual VGA, USB and IEEE1394 etc
It is a desktop PC with Vista. (I can connect my laptop to a TV with a VGA to VGA cable.)
