Catching fish

Whats the easiest way to catch pond fish (goldfish etc). We have built a new pond and would like to transfer half of them into it from the old one. We managed to get a couple with a net but it took ages. Are there any traps etc that wouldn't harm the fish.

you need two nets, a large and a small. Lower the level of the pond, if this is possible then put the big net in at one end and have some one hold it with the ring vertical and dead still. You then chase the fish into the large net with the small one

I always let them get really hungry then catch them when they come up for food worked for me.
