RTA with no mot two cars are writen off

hello
i was over taking and went head on into a oncoming car. they are both wrote off i think.
i hav fully comp insurance, tax, but cant find my mot cert which was an english one the car is now n.ireland reg. i hav up todate pics of the car and a garage recipt to say she was mot prepd.it was running out in december.
will the insurance still cover me and will i get fpns/fines from the police.

They are entered on computer now when issued - when I taxed my car over the phone, there was a short wait while the computer checked that I had both current MOT and insurance. I'm sure the DVLA must have details of your MOT. Ask the garage for a copy if you have the receipt.
