I am in the process of purchasing a new car and wonder about transferring car insurance form my old car to my new car.
Basically I sell my car on 14th December, and my new car arrives on 23rd December, I want to stay with the insurance company (Tesco) in order to keep my no claims bonus (due for renewal in March), and in the hope that I do not have to pay a cancellation fee for cancelling my old car's policy, but obviously my new policy will not start for a week after.
Anyone had experience of this? Do insurance companies tend to charge a cancellation fee?
Thanks

There'll be a fee probably, admin. It's no hassle.
i would keep the insurance on your old car till you recieve your new car and then change it over there will be a fee for doing this too but you will lose this year ncb if you end your policy
