sorry for posting this in chatterbank wasn't sure what it would come under it's not exactly sayings and phrases ,suzy we can talk here about my grammar ,and leave the other post for what it's about!!

Sorry to be pedantic but there are a couple of instances in this thread of using 'your' when it should be 'you're' -dothawkes even does it both incorrectly and correctly in the same sentence. For the record, 'your' means 'belonging to you', 'you're' is short for 'you are'. Sorry again but I have mild OCD about this sort of thing, and have just spent a couple of hours on FB where this error seems to be endemic, so I'm wound up about it already. PS I am an insurance claims manager and am not afraid to admit that I am entirely unqualified to lecture others on grammar.

seeing stegs line about signing the late book and this thread is about spelling reminded me of the following.
many years ago Frank Sinatra received a request for a "singed" photograph. He took out his lighter,singed the edge of the photo and sent it off. A few days later he received a letter saying,"thank you for the photograph,unfortunatly somebody has signed the edges".

sheesh, so flippin what!!!! I know how to right proper like wot you say but on here i can be lazy and not give a fig. it gets bloody boring when people correct simple lazy errors.

I had a dental appointment yesterday afternoon. As I was driving their, I almost mist my turning when I sore something distracting out of the corner of my eye. Got to the dentist and had too weight half an our before being cent four Xrays. I didn't no weather two just cancel the appointment and make another won, but I didn't no when they wood bee able two get me in again. It was quarter passed for when they finally called me in. I had intended to pop into the Counsel and then onto the Jim afterwards, but my appointment was running two late. Anyway, the hole experience was quite painful - I really couldn't bare having my teeth messed with. And the bill !! It wasn't deer, it was absolutely extortionate. When she tolled me how much it was, I had too paws and catch my breath ! Knot sure I'll bee going they're again.

boo yeah suppose it could bee seen like that but if you look at the thread in question where all the attention was put on my grammar and spelling ,im not perfect and would never claim to be i opened this thread so that the other one could be left for the posters answers ,you may see this as appropriate but nor is posting" P.S You may know the law but your grammer (sic) and spelling are perfectly frightful!,I put sic...I am obviously slightly more literate than you." onto a thread and correcting my spelling on clause (claus)and pretty pathetic if you ask me
