Can anyone give me the correct way to transfer i-tunes from one computer to another and not lose anything, i am buying a laptop and wish to transfer all my music.

You may refer to this step by step guide, it will teach you how to transfer iTunes library to another computer, it's easy to understand and works pretty well for me. It's safe and it will not delete your iTunes music and video.
