Anyone know of a really good P.C. movie maker that will put together video clips and stills?? I find the Windows M.M near useless. It frequently stops working halfway through a project, and the videos are very jerky. H.P. Muvee is no better. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. 711

If you are looking for free software, I've used NCH Videopad and found it to be pretty good.

There is also Pro version for around 40 quid.

Thanks - I missed this one. It`s straightforward and it works fine - better than WMM. Unfortunately the video clips are still quite jerky. I can`t seem to get them to play smoothly, other than on the camera on which they were recorded, where they play perfectly.
If you've tried many programs, and all have the same problem, then clearly you need to look elsewhere for the source of the problem. You do need quite a high spec machine to edit video - fast processor, decent video adaptor and fast, unfragmented hard disk.
You may try this Video Editor, it's a nice video editing software that can help you edit, join, trim, crop, convert and cut video, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well for me, it embeds many special effects. I had made a video with it and the video got award, that's pretty cool. And here is the free download link
