A dairy-free chocolate mousse recipe?
Does one exist? Can't see it myself. Surely you can't make a chocolate mousse without using butter and/or cream?
My BF has a dairy intolerance (not allergy - he's ok with chocolate funnily enough). He swears blind when he lived in France his girlfriend used to make him a mousse without using dairy. Can anyone help?

easy peasy to maske a mousse without using any dairy if you are kay with raw egg.
you need per person
one medium egg
one ounce of the chocolate of your choice
Put the choc in a basin and melt gently either over siimmering water on the stove or in the microwave. While it is melting separate the egg into two clean bowls. beat the yolks together gently and add a little vanilla, orange, peppermint essence or rum to taste if you like, you get the idea. Only add a little or the mousse wont set. Stir the chocolate and have it warm...just warm enough to feel it warm on your finger when you dip it in the choc...yes you can lick but only one dip!!!!
Take the choc off the heat and add the yolk mix and stir ir in the chocolate should go a bit glueyer and glossy looking DONT have the choc too hot or you will scramble the egg.
Okay set the choc mix aside at room temp and whisk the eggwhites to soft peaks. Stir about a quarter or less of the whipped white into the choc mix then carefully fold in the rest. Put the musse into the serving dishes and chill for a couple of hours or overnight
