Seems everyone's having problems with this one.

22 Down is Bradley Walsh so 32 across second letter has to be L

32a ?L?? / BOWLER

17 Down I also think is Die Down but that doesn't fit in as 32 a would then read ?l?n bowler

Help anyone?????

What's the clue for 17d?

For the bowler, I can only think of - Fast; Slow; Spin; Pace; Seam

If you're convinced by "Die down", then I suggest an error in the compiling/printing - you could try putting a diagonal in the conflicted square & entering (if I've read the configuration correctly!?) both 'W' & 'N' for 'Slow' & 'Down'...

jsmbliam sorry for the delay.. just noticed your thread. I think i will go with Lie-in King's theory that there's been a mistake made by whoever compiled the crossworde this week...Btw 22d is Bradley James not Walsh. But this still doesn't help the cricket question
