I would suggest you phone Dublin Airport Information Desk and check who run the buses and phone and check times etc. as there might not be full service that day, but I am sure there will be trains from Dublin if you are stuck. Good luck.
I've just tried to post an answer here, but it's not appeared. I'll try posting it in two parts:
There appears to be no direct route to Thurles:
http://www.dublinairp...m/to-and-from/by-bus/
Bus Éireann's current timetable shows just two services from Dublin Airport to Thurles on a Saturday. These are at 0700 (changing in central Dublin and Cashel, using services 747, 8 and 71, arriving at 1140) and 1230 (changing in central Dublin and Roscrea, using services 747, 12 and 71, arriving at 1645). However the current timetable only runs to 23rd December. Send an email to [email protected] to check the situation for Boxing Day. Alternatively phone them up. The number within the Republic of Ireland is (01) 8366111. From the UK it's 00 353 1 8366111.

It might also be possible to travel via Clonmel, Nenagh or Roscrea by combining the services of J J Kavanagh and Shamrock Coaches. The following links include phone numbers, so that you can check Boxing Day services:

For future reference it might help you to know that Shannon Airport (87km) is much closer to Thurles than Dublin Airport (157km). Cork Airport (123km) is also closer.
