deleted pics from camera

by accident you understand, is there any way they can be retrieved from the memory card or such like.
have no idea about these things.

Try Recuva from http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download - it is free by the way.

If you have a memory card reader on your computer, put the memory card in it and then use the software to recover the deleted files. If you don't have a card reader, attach the camera to the computer and see if it will work that way - with luck the computer will see the memory card as a removable drive and the program will let you recover the files.

I haven't used this program, but it is a recommendation from a site I trust, and it's from the same people who wrote Ccleaner which I do use regularly.

Most cameras have the ability to "lock" the picture so thay cannot be deleted.

When I take a set of pictures I always lock them all (you can do it in one go) so they cannot be deleted.

Once I have downloaded them to computer and backed them up then I unlock them and delete them.

That is excellent advice from VHG. I speak from experience, a couple of Christmases ago I managed to delete all the pictures of the grandchjldren from Christmas Day. I never lived it down from my other half!!

denis567, i know exactly what you mean whilst mine were not christmas pics they were of the grandchildren and obviously very special. my other half was not happy either as he never makes a mistake!!!!!!!

If "Recova" doesn't do the job, "Image Recall" will http://www.imagerecall.com/ Don'w write anything else to the card before you try though.
