Do you know the most erotic statue in London?
14 Answers
I do, because the late and much-missed Alan Coren tells us in one of his pieces. He says that when he took Princess Michael of Kent to see it "her response was so earthy a giggle that grown men within a radius of 50 yards went off for a bit of a lie down".
What makes it so funny is that it wasn't intended to be sallacious - it's not a nude or anything - but very solemn. Do you know what it is?

I wonder if it is this statue of Achilles at Hyde Park Corner?

Yes,it DOES have a p£nis under the bronze fig leaf.
Sadly, the fig leaf does still get stolen (usually by drunk revellers) so the park Superintendent has two spare ones!
When the statue was unveiled the Times said "The statue's errection was paid for by the Ladies Guild of London"
Errection meant something else in Victorian days obviously!
