Just tried to make a booking at The Harvester for a Christmas Week meal, and spoke to the girl, who checked the diary, said yes it was ok, how many was it for, and what time. All of which I answered, and I told her someone would come in with the deposits and would that be ok. She agreed it would be, but then told me she couldnt make the booking because she didnt have the authority and I would have to wait for the manager to come in.
Am I missing something here, surely if she looked in the diary etc. she could have provisionally taken the booking. Maybe its me, just interested to know what other people think.
have been to The Harvester before, but it dont look like Im going now if I cant make a booking........
dont think we have crown carverys in London, could be wrong...
jan - this doesn't surprise me - using their brain to ask another member of staff would have been too simple.
Mind you I don't think its just spotty teenagers this applies to - you wouldn't believe the conversation I had this morning with DHSS over a claim for sick money for my son. The woman was a complete plonker.
Do u think thats why this country is in the mess its in.......hope u got yr sons sick pay claim Den, its all the form fillin that gets me when u try to claim something, its like they dont want u to have it but theres never a problem givin it to some people...
I spoke to this snotty nose cow, (after my son verified who I was, Data Protection Act and all that) I love dealing with people like her, I can bring them down with few words but quite a lot of wisdom.
