by herself in the school carol service and got it ! I am so proud of her as this is her first year in secondary school - in a school of over 1,000 kids and she has such amazing confidence which has just paid off. I would love to have been like her when I was a kid.

yeh me too ummmm. I just dont know where she gets it from - she didnt plan to go for the auditions and didnt say anything until after at home. She has asked me to say to her dad that she didnt get it and then surprise him on the day but I think he would like to know.
Well does Missy pericat.
A star in the making?
Well done to your daughter. I actually was quite a little singer throughout school and even have a certificate of merit from The Guildhall School of Music. Sadly, something seems to have happened to my voice since!!! :o)

I bet you are proud.
well done perikitten
Question Author
Not necessarily as she has a nice voice but not the best in the world - its her confidence which is the star quality
Well done to her Peri - I think kids nowdays seem to have more confidence.

X Factor 2010 here she comes........oops perhaps not she is only 12 (;o(
Possibly a young startlet in the making? :-)

I had no confidence when I was that age. I always preferred to keep my head down and say nothing.
I think confidence is a great gift - if I had some when younger, my life could have been so different.

Gosh DEN - I would say the same about myself. She is well able to tell her friends if she is annoyed with them and why and then just get on wilth things. I would love to be able to do that. Now she has a lot of things that she has to grow into yet and has to be pulled back a bit at times but basically a good kid.
Peri - my son has loads of confidence and that got him into all sorts of trouble at junior school but there was one lovely welsh teacher Mrs. Sida who absolutely loved him - she said to me you can always channel that confidence but its very hard to give a child confidence.

Wise Lady.
Question Author
That is a very wise comment - my eldest has no confidence and trying to foster some in him is impossible - if only his sister could give him some.
Thats so nice, and good luck to her, Peri.

Hope she's great on the night too. :)
