Time off work to deal with a burgulry
Does my employer have to give me time off to deal with a burgulry that has happened during the night or can they force you to use your annual leave?

magicmerlin :Bulgary is another offence entirely i.e breaking and entering a Bulgar ( n. b. it's defence to prove you took him in the Balkans).
It could have been bulgury [bulgur = burgul ] , which is the offence when committed in daylight, but burgulry can only be committed in the hours of darkness. Ian says it happened during the night, so it was burgulry.The latter is the more serious offence. Taking burgul at night , get caught, you end up with porridge.
