What changed in 1752 which caused Britain to have a white Christmas less frequently thereafter?

I know we changed to the Grigorian calendar in 1752 ,is this significant?

Yes, we lost 15 days from the calendar and so December 25th became December 10th, which wasn't in the middle of winter. Hence, we have more snowy weather in January now.
Sorry it was 11 days, I believe.
