I  have jpeg photos on a cd, in folders, to cake these visible on a standalone dvd player do I just copy to a dvd disc.

You need to use nero or something ese that you can create vcd's with then drag all the jpeg files in to the box and burn.
I have never tried it on dvd but i should imagine it might work just create dvd and do the same.
