Not sure where to put this question. We are in our late 60's and have been invited to a 80's party.
What do we wear? If it was 60's - no problem, but what was *in* in the 80's?
Thanks in advance.

apparently Boy George is popular for 80s parties. You need a white smock (nightdress), long thin black plaits (ball of wool) and a black hat, oh and lots of bright make-up
In addition to the Boy, try an image search of "new romantic" - should bring up some ideas...
I really thought this was going to be another boy george one!
Me too Chuck,

BTW, I meant to say a 'Google' image search...

For a man how about a suit worn over a t-shirt and slip on shoes with no socks as in Miami Vice http://www.albertspag...to/Miami%20vice08.jpg for that extra 80's look just push the jacket sleeves up to your elbows.
For a woman - how about going as a Sloane ranger? Think Lady Di - a floral skirt perhaps, with a blouse, cardigan (or hacking jacket), ballet pumps and the all important string of pearls.
What about a Ninja Turtle? A New Romantic? Think ruffles on shirts (the 'dandy' look) and shoulder pads.
