What do readers think about the alterations to the Sunday Telegraph crosswords? The use of the one grid for both Cryptic and GK seems a retrograde step. What if you want to tackle both? Also the difficulty level with the GK has been dropped considerably. And still fountain pens are being given as prizes!!

There has already been alot of discussion about this. Those of us who like to do both have a difficult choice to make - as for the prize well i do the gk but would only want the glory of winning not the pen particularly!
This was discussed on a previous post further down.I think it's a disgrace!! I like the larger format ...but as you say no good if you want to do both.I have always done both on a Sunday and sent them in.Now you have to toss a coin to decide which to do.If you don't send them in I suppose you could photo copy the grid to do them at leisure.I did the GK one yesterday and it was easy...I only had to look up one answer.
I looked on their website today for an email address to complain but couldn't find one.Bad move on their part I think.
I suppose they have done this to give more space for that wretched Suduko.

This was discussed yesterday here in a thread started by Clare A.

No one is approving of the change but all are pessimistic about whether the DT can be convinced to change it back to 2 grids.

I agree. The GK elementis now really a"quick" crossword and is more of a chorethan a challenge.

Thanks gen2 with your comment about Clare A's earlier contribution on this question.  I had not picked this up.  Having done so, it would appear nobody has a good word for the changes. I still can't see why a copy of the blank grid cannot be made to allow both crosswords to be posted

Here you are, shaneystar.   And everyone else.  If they get enough letters they might have a rethink.

Thank you very much Marsh.
I have actually emailed them earlier after scouring the website for the address you have given.I hope other Telegraph crossword fans will do the same.
I think a lot of Telegraph readers will annoyed with the change.
If it 'aint broke don't fix it.
