Why do the media always pick on the odd builder to vent the public's anger. Most are honest and trustworthy. Many small builders have to scrape a living as the job often costs more than the original estimate. Then they have the trouble of getting paid the final payment which is often withheld because the householder finds small faults. Polish builders often undercut them on prices because they have less overheads.

How much attention is paid to the so called professional classes such as solicitors, estate agents,architects, etc who are able to fleece the public on a much larger scale than the builder. The media often remains silent on this.

Hardly the odd builder - but specifically a builder who had been campaigning about bad customers.

I spend a lot of time advising my clients NOT to pay builders upfront, etc.................and then even more time picking up the pieces after my clients have ignored me and are left with shoddy or incomplete works.

again, look at the ages of his victims - vulnerable old folk. don't let their naivety get in their way of his bullying behaviour.
