who would you recomend?
hi.my internet contract is up for renewal,soon i am with talk talk,and getting grief of the family mainly my two teenage kids,lol,as they say it is rubbish,ie takes ages sometimes to get a connection,gets cut off which drives my son mad as he uses x box live ,and all the usual comments its to slow etc etc,i have a g ROUTER witch my son also says is only fit for the bin,i was looking to switch to BT,or 02, any body use these servers also i need unlimited use,downloads etc,any feedback would be appreciated as im a bit of a novice....

for most normal ADSL connections there is only one provider in the UK, that is BT.
You get your ADSL on a BT line that is connected to a BT exchange that is then run on a BT backbone. Talk talk rent some of this service from BT and then sell it to you.
so if you change ISP the equipment you are connected to in the exchange, the phone line you are using etc etc will not change, if there is a problem with these and you change ISP you'll just be paying somebody else for a bad connection.

I dont have a problem with Talk Talk,with two TA kids I reckon it's filled with a load of junk,I would do at least clean out programs you or they don't use anymore,do at least three defrags then go to My Computer>Right click,Hard disk>Properties /Local Disc>Tools Tab>click Error Checking Area. Then do another defrag after the error checking program.Also after all that re-run the Talk Talk installation disc, Good Luck
