A friend of mine from university days taught me this:

In section, a cheese sandwich is BREAD, BUTTER, CHEESE, BUTTER, BREAD.

Therefore a bread sandwich is BREAD, BUTTER, BREAD, BUTTER, BREAD.

So a jam sandwich becomes: JAM, BUTTER, JAM, BUTTER, JAM

Therefore a butter sandwich is BUTTER, BUTTER, BUTTER, BUTTER, BUTTER.

If this is what they're learning at uni these days then i am glad about the loss of student grants. To think I was feeling sorry for all those students desperate to learn yet struggling to survive.

Well mfewell, i have had replies to my questions akin to these answers. Don't worry, most are an attempt to silence you by ridicule. What the heck if you want to write in summat that you saw as funny, take no notice of peoples hurtful ways, they say what goes around comes around. Godbless

That's good nfn. I think anyone with a sense of logic like that deserves to go far. I have tried to explain it to my work colleagues, but they just get strung up on the step from a bread sandwich to a jam one. But with the intelligence of half-witted gibbons what more could I expect.

Well spinchimp. had you not said what you have just said, then my statement could look very tenuous indeed. But as usual someone has to help me out with there uncontrolable urge to criticise, If you have nothing helpful to say just keep out of it. And as for me posting things offensive to some. I find some aber's and their tedious small talk like "Glad to see starlightlady is back on the bank, us girls can gang up on the lads Etc." all that insipid chit chat makes me wretch as though you know each other and are all good friends, you will probably hate these people if you met so wake up and smell the coffee. and STOP CRITICISING PEOPLE. for all you know, your criticisms may be directed at someone with learning difficulties that cannot type fast enough to use a chat line. think on you hurtful people!

I dip in and out of questions as do, I suspect, many many others and therefore may be several responses behind. I don't take that as a slight that people hadn't had the decency to await my reply!

Your eyesight may not be as it was, and for that I am truly sorry, but I do feel the chip on your shoulder is more than compensating.
