The one (small) thing that loses Canterbury my vote is,it can become "invaded" by French schoolchildren over on a day trip. The children are OK it's just that there can be such large numbers of them!
Chester is the best place - the river boats, the massive park, the walls, the racecourse! If you planning a weekend you must visit the 'Office' (which is the best bar in Chester) You must try their Long Island Ice Tea's......mmmmm, oh and a special drink - which is unique to the Chester office (as it was designed by the chef) called 'Strawberry Evans' Strawberrys & Alcohol, mmmm!!!
Also go on a Friday Night as the DJ is ace and plays whatever you want - Top Bar, Top Drinks, Top DJ, Top Music - and its free to get in open til 1am - not to busy not to quiet and not a scally or stripy jumper in sight!
What more could you want??
Have Fun!!!!
