Try something bland to eat like plain toast to start with and see how it goes. Chicken soup is another. It's good you are drinking water....you lose a lot of fluids with diarrhoea.
you may have the winter vomitting bug, let it run its course, keep drinking fluids and eat bland food like toast, the water will flush your system out. if it is the vomitting bug then he should come down with it today or tomorrow, its a hard one to avoid :/
Send your fiance to the shop for some arrowroot biscuits.
i had a similar bug a couple of months ago and was advised that, rather than not eating and just drinking water, to try and eat as normally as possible (avoiding greasy/spicy foods). This will keep your system going and hopefully flush the bug out as quick as possible

Try not to take any tablets to stop it (ulness presribed of course!) as it only slows down your system and prolongs the illness

Hope you feel better soon
Good that you are hungry but dont over do it,a good simple boiled egg and toast(cut into soldiers of course) hits the spot for me.Keep drinking the water, but if you throw up again, sip a re-hydrating drink(dioralite type thing)
If the runs continue for 48 hrs,try some loperameade(wrong spelling I know sorry)Hope you get better soon
loperamide is the correct spelling and its the main chemical used in imodium much cheaper buying the generic version though
Thanks for that correction, and yes I always ask by name for things in the chemist and then ask if they have their own brand. Why spend even more money than you have to specialy when feeling ill and cannot get a doctors appointment to get a prescription.Take with caution anyway, lets just say its easy to go from one extreme to the other lol :)
On the news today that there was a case of Winter Vomiting vurus at a Chelmsford hospital. So it must be doing the rounds. They always tell you to drink lots of water as you can get dehydrated.
Try not to be embarrassed about being ill , it is no big deal . you will perhaps both experience a lot worse than soiled bed sheets as you travel through life together. Don't worry about it , accept it for what it is -- a bug. Hope you are on the mend now.
Apple juice! It rehydrates you and the pectin in it helps with the poops. Get well soon xx.
