WEBCAM HELP

How do i disable my webcam..
It seems to be on but i know there's an error with it, But i want to disable it altogether please can someone help x

What make/type of webcam,what operating system and is it a desktop PC or a laptop?

It's a HP Pavillion dv2000 and its built in.. I don't know whats up with it but i know there's a fault.. And i can't disable it.. Help

mine has a little icon down at the bottom of my screen, if I right click on it I can then use exit.

If you no longer need the webcam you could go into your device manager and uninstall it.(control panel>system hardware manager).

it will just reinstall its self on next startup if you do that.

restart your computer, as soon as you see the hp splash screen (before the windows loading screen) keep pressing f10

this will take you into the BIOS, have a look through the settings for built in webcam (or similar) and disable it.

So i went to uninstall it and it doesnt look like its there, i think i've alrady done this maybe by accident.. arggghhh?
