Not the easiest question to read!

american keyboards have a few of the keys indifferent places, the @ sign will be shift and 2 (with the " being where the @ sign would be on a UK keyboard)

backspace and delete are the same for both UK and USA

You won't have a £ symbol

You can change the keyboard layout in windows to the UK layout, then all the keys will be in the correct places for a UK keyboard, but those keys will be labeled incorrectly.
I have the same trouble with my Dell.
I've found:

£=hash (haven't found hash sign yet!)
"=@
@="
Jason - you have American settings on your computer. Go into control panel --- Regional and Language options and you can change them in there to English (UK).
Thanks Squarebear. Sorted!!
