Why is my hair becoming so greasy?

I recently invested in some pink GHD hair irons and after using them on a regular basis I noticed that I was starting to get split ends. I then stopped using them to give my hair a rest, but now I've noticed that it becomes greasy really quickly (and needs washing everyday). Is this because my hair is trying to repair itself or just that more oil is being produced; due to hormones, or something???

Usng straighteners will dry hair out alot, it is probably hair trying to retore itself.  Have a good trim, Invest in a good intensive conditioner and either blow dry hair or straighten not both.  My hair did this also.
Also try changing your shampoo, hair seems to 'get used to' a shampoo over time and just changing to a different shampoo for a while can make your hair feel sooo much better. I had to do this recently.

your hair also gets used to being washed everyday.  If at all possible (some day when you aren't going to see anyone) leave it an extra day between washes.  if you can do this a couple of times in a row you can 'train' your hair to only need washed every other day.

Also, make sure you are using a shampoo and conditioner for greasy hair

Greasy hair probably isn't anything to do with your GHDs - unless you are straightening your hair right up to the roots, in which case the lack of frizz at the roots may make them appear greasy.
Your hair is dead - so once it is out of the root, however you abuse it by over straightening it or whatever, your hair follicles don't know anything about it so they can't 'compensate' by going into oil overproduction.
It could be that you are touching your roots a lot (including washing every day), this would cause excess oil production, as might a change in diet or scalp / skin problems.
i wudnt use straightners everyday coz it damages ur hair. u can buy straightning hair prtection spray which wil help. xx

Do you scratch and sniff??
