if someone is dismissed for gross misconduct can they sign on for benefits? ie income related pay for the first 6 months that has been paid into the post through nat ins contributions? reason for dismissal, sleeping with a subordinate and not declaring it after also offering promotion!
If one has made oneself unemployed through one's own efforts (or lack of effort), then no, the JS people will probably deny the claim. Worth trying though.
meant to say pot not post! i think this is a grey area, yes you broke their rules where you worked but also they got rid of you, you didnt walk out. any experience of this and what happens re benefits.
