GHD Roomm?!?!?!?

Can anyone comment from experience on a company called GHD Room who sell seemingly genuine GHD hair straighteners for greatly reduced prices. I am aware of a lot of fakes on the market but this company seems very professional.

Sorry I dont know anything about this company. Just wanted to say that I got my Tesco value GHDs for £1.68 in a discontinued line earlier this year. Perfectly good they are too. I noticed some people were selling them on ebay. I think cheaper models can be just as good for the job.

No registered company address.
Only contact is by hotmail email address.
They do not take card payments directly, only through a third party such as PayPal. This indicates it is not authorised to take card payments. If there is a problem with your purchase the card company won't help.
Quotes US consumer law, not UK law.

And I've just seen this. Don't know how it ties in with US law though.

I thought I purchased from this site on 10th October 09 but have still received nothing, have tried to email and had no reply, now cant get on website. Also they took more money from my account than advertised, very worried now.

have the so called ghd's have checked authenticity code on official ghd website and it is not recognised, surprise, surprise. Hope this helps someone out there. Never gave it a thought I would be buying fakes!!!

I have also ordered from this site on the 5th november and have not received anything. I have sent 2 emails and
had no responce but my credit card has been charged. I cannot get into the website. I am getting worried now but not sure what to do any advise ??????.

I have also used this site,they have taken my money and i have not received the straighteners. I am asking consumer rights if anything can be done about this,has anyone else got any ideas on how to help!!!

29/12/2009] Vic (United Kingdom): I ordered and paid GHDRoom.com £59.99 for Limited Edition Pink GHD IV Styler Boxed Set. £62.00 was debited from my bank account. The goods arrived and were confirmed fake and dangerous by GHD UK. The money was transacted by PayEase.net. I was refunded by my bank as fraud had been committed. GHDRoom.com is or was registered by LUI QING, Beijing, China. The website domain was registered with China Telecommunications. This is just one of many fraudulent websites, very elaborate, selling counterfeit GHD, UGG Boots and Tiffany Jewellery. The websites are difficult to determine their validity. However, I have found a way to sound them out and day by day extract details of counterfeit GHD websites and forward the details to Google and their respective ISP. This person Lui Qing, had 172 websites listed under the singular domain. Another person had 15,000 websites advertised globally. If you require further information, I am only too happy to help in the work to thwart these thugs and ultimately close the counterfeit factories in and around Beijing, China.

Trading Standards UK are powerless to do anything, as jurisdiction of law is outside the United Kingdom. If the goods were to be supplied within UK, then UK Law is applicable.

These counterfeiters/fraudsters must be stopped. Please join myself and forward any information to myself, in order that I can liase and advise accordingly.
