I've just come off the phone with some friends in Australia, They are falling about laughing their sides sore in Melbourne, they have just heard it on the news about the British new years honours list.
They thought it was a joke a couple of years ago when a woman who serves tea and buns in the House of Commons got a medal for doing the job for 20+ years, imagine what they think of an Asian curry shop owner from Bradford getting a gong for services to the curry industry.
Who are the brainless idiots who put these people forward, and who are the absolute dopes who agree to them. Is it any wonder the rest of the world are laughing their sides sore?

why do they bother reading the lists of people honoured in other countries? And who do you think should be honoured, if anyone?
