Maggie Jones - Coronation Street

Can anyone confirm her true age when she died? Most reports said she was 75 but I suspect it was probably about 90. A newspaper report in 1974 said she was 54 which ties in with IMBDs previously published date of 1919, now removed. I think she should be proud to have reached a ripe old age. Thanks in advance for your answers.

She was definitely 75 when she died. Betty Driver is 90 in May, Eileen Derbyshire is 79.

I can't believe Betty Driver is nearly 90!

She never seems to change & is in good nick for her age.

In her prime she was up there with Anne Shelton & Vera Lynn!
She sang mostly with the big bands.

PS:~Betty was born in 1920,so was only 18 in the clip!

Smudge, Betty had her own radio show as well. She's had a very interesting life, and has kept her private life private.

Thank you for the info hc. I was looking on youtube earlier & she does seem to have had a very busy life! It's probably what's kept her looking so young!
