In Internet Explorer, friend keeps getting red window with message to the effect that there is a security issue. In the address panel, it just reads, 'about: blank' This then leads to a site trying to sell him security for £60. Any ideas as to how to get rid of this annoyance. Many thanks.

pop up blocker.. go to tools.. pop up blocker ..then turn it on..
