Heater not working on a Pegeout 307 51 Plate

Have been told by a local garage that it needs a heater Wiring Loom and a Heater resistor

Does this sound correct to you experts out there
Also what approximately should you expect to pay for the parts and labour ?

Thanks

Hi, first, if not tried the fuse, did the heater stop all of a sudden? did you hear it slow down etc? was there any smell of the motor burning? I suspect the motor, this is not a difficult job to do & can be done in a couple of hrs, If the assumption is correct, you will have to remove the N/S Glove box, Torx drivers + Philips are needed, its a bit fiddly but can save you £££££££ if you can manage yourself, if you intend to do the job make sure you have the code for your radio, you can get a used one off eBay, I bought one for £30, or any 247 car spares, when I had taken out the old, the Fan blades where in a bad state causing a lot of unusual sounds. If I can help ask.

Most likely to be the resister, did you loose one or two of the fan settings before it gave up?

Don't see how you need a new loom if the connecting wire to the resister is ok.
