Just looked in my Chambers Dictionary and the modern equivalant for four years is "Appliances".

Thanks all, and a happy anniversary to Chillum. Mrs GS was very happy with the bucket of flowers, especially when I explained that it was our �flowers and fruit� anniversary. I got a bottle of wine (from where we honeymooned in Italy), a book (always welcome) and an apple (since she found out about the fruit bit). Off for an Italian meal tonight.
