While Martina was recovering she spent many hours on Facebook and became obsessed with Frankie, a local radio DJ and she started to email him.When he no longer replied to her she found out where he lived and wrote over 10 letters. Initially he ignored them but as time passed the content of the letters became more and more desperate. Martina initially threatened that she would cut herself if he did not meet up with her. Later she threatened suicide.
Frankie was terrified of what she would do; in particular because his last girlfriend had committed suicide. He started taking sleeping pills because Martina would stand outside of his house playing loud music.
