I left the AB for a couple of years. When I was a regular before, the site was very lively with loads of contributors. Where have they all gone. Andy Hughes and Ethel particularly and there was lots of banter (some of it ridiculous admittedly) on the Sports section. I once had 250 replies to one of my posts. Nowadays there seems very few. Just the odd three or four new questions per day. Has some other site appeared and attracted many of the ABers? I have to say the site is nowhere near as good as it was. I liked the three star response rating and the offer of previous similar answers to a new question and the note under each respondents name as to how many posts etc. Anyone else agree?

I've been around since '05 and I find AB is a lot better now than in the old days. We had a glitch (especially in CB) for about a year when CB wasn't a very pleasent place ot be, but it seems to have settled down now.
yes it has B00, though it's still odd sometimes, especially if you have not been on much, then sometimes i do beleive there are cliques, though i hate to use the term!!! People seem to know what is going on with who and I never notice!!!
Meh, you learn to live iwth the cliqueness that occurs occasionally Dotty. Just do what I do and bulldoze your way into their conversations and off you go!

;-)
dot....correct, but that is because there is a subculture of FB and email contacts, the content of we are not privy too and that is where the "cliques " come in.
I've been on AB for a very long time but had stayed away from posting for the last two or three years due to Kn0bie, Ligend and their abusiveness. Only recently i've gotten back into things on here and that's only because there are less threats and abuse. And I agree with you Boo, Dotty and Squad.
Thought I hadn't seen you around for a while society- welcome back :-)
Big hello to you too Boo!
Congratulations on being a grandma! Fingers and toes crossed for you and your daughter :-)
Awww cheers society, im chuffed as little meatballs about it :-)

Have a good new year, and you too Dudley (sorry I appear to have rambled off your original subject)
B00, you're a granny? When did that happen?

(Sorry, I suppose if I'd been in the right clique I'd have heard about it.)
Don't think anyone's heard from Ethel in a while , other people have asked about her
I think a lot of chat has been reduced by people going on Faceback, or whatever it's called
Chatting on Facebook does not produce the same interaction as on here. I prefer here much more.
I am a relatively newcomer to AB; I love it. It amazes me that I can ask a question and have knowledgable people offer advice, sympathy, empathy, from the other side of the world. I hope it is always out there for people like myself. We have all had different experiences and sharing knowledge is a grand gesture. I appreciate all who have answered my questions.
i dont post as often as i used to, because i tired of the griping, ranting, judging etc etc

i found that instead of answering questions some where clearly only here to jump on questions to get all high and mighty and sneer at people.

sometimes its deserved and even fun...,mostly its just tedious
