Where or who can i get help from for my adult Autistic son and what benefits should he be claiming?
The social workers seem to be dragging thing out i have been trying to sort things for over a year now.

hiya firstly i know your struggle im currently awaiting my son to be diagnosed although he is a toddler

try ringing these Autism Helpline 0845 070 4004 they are brilliant and have helped me immensly

they also have site if you havent already been on it http://www.nas.org.uk/

He is entitled to DLA and anyone caring for him (whilst he is in receipt of DLA middle rate and above) and on a low wage would be entitled to Carer's Allowance.
My 12 year old son who has Aspergers Syndrome gets DLA care component at the middle rate,so your son should too,he may have to claim it for himself with help from someone else to fill in the form though.
