When did this change abruptly to climate change? Nothing to do with the cold weather is it?

Climate change is more accurate because some places, could accutally get cooler. The UK for example, if the Gulf Stream does not come as far north in the future, it will make this country a lot cooler, with the present weather the norm every winter time.
Of course the warming and cooling is the average temperature over 365 days, so todays weather will not make much difference to the yearly figure for the UK.

I'm not sure about climate change but there is certainly a climate shift. We have super cray computers trying to work out cloud and atmospheric movements in order to plan future weather forecasting. But because of the variability and change to the weather systems it is almost impossible to predict more than 5 days in advance. The simulataneous equations necessary are beyond even the ability of the world's fastest computers.
Therefore add a few more variables into the system which is happening with more Co2 and it may turn out to be uncontrollable and we enter the domesday prediction. However this extra input may be masked by all the other variables and the new pattern will adjust. At the moment we are probably going through an overshoot but this will gradually return to norman just like a damped sinusoidal wave.

Yes I’m sure you’re right, rov.
However, one thing is certain. None of this will be altered:
By forcing me to use unsuitable light bulbs which make some people ill.
By building windmills which take more energy to manufacture and erect than they will ever produce and which need an equivalent capacity of conventional electricity generation still working for when the wind stops blowing (as it does from time to time).
By charging me £10 extra to fly to Benidorm.
By holding annual conferences to which 15,000 delegates have to travel from all over the world to spend two weeks reaching no conclusion.
I could go on, but it’s too cold.
