my schools closed but there's hardly any snow

there's hardly any snow but the roads from nowich are blocked with snow and the heatings broke. There's enough teachers that live in Norwich so that if they can't get in to school, there's not enough teachers for the school to open!

Can't you ring the school? It is annoying when it is announced so late, when I worked at a nursery (within a school) I rang them to check we were going to open, they said yes, that was about quarter past 8. I walked there and arrived 15 minutes later to find they'd changed heir minds! Wasn't too bad for me but felt sorry for anyone who had to walk further!
If you want to talk to an actual person, there are only 4 phones (often only two people on at a time) to answer them.
If you press button to call the student office, you can only leave a voice message and they get back to you, if you phone the main office there are at the most four people to answer, in a school of about 1000 (including sixth formers) plus the teachers finding out if there's any point in coming in. On several occaisons we've tried and not gotten through to a person.
