Sounds to me as if you rushed into the physical stuff way before you knew you had a relationship. Fine if that was what you both were looking for, but a life's lesson if you were assuming sex meant something more permanent.

Anyway I know quite a few people, and I've been known to text them, or to say, "How are you ?". Doesn't mean I want to be a couple with them, or to jump on top of them.

I think you need to read less into what is fairly innocuous activities. It seems to me that he's happy to remain in contact with you, but not so fussed as to want regular communication. And as far as we can tell, that's about it.

You have accumulated an acquaintance. Why not go find a friend?
