I may be giving you the wrong answer, but I did hear "See Emily Play" by Pink Floyd on Radio 2 after all their Live 8 Hype.

Stephen Fretwell. The song Emily is about an ex-girlfriend but her name was changed for this song. As mentioned already.. he did great live thing on Radio 2.

It's definitely Stephen Fretwell, after i heard the song on Virgin radio i rang up and asked the DJ who it was by - great song!
