I can put you out of your misery. I tracked down the agency repsonsible for the ad (in Los Angeles), contacted them and their reply was "The music you like is an original composition that was composed for the commercial. It is unfortunately, not available for purchase".

Thanks for that. Shame they don't jump on the bandwagon and release it as a single - sure a lot of dog lovers would buy it -
