Board games

I'm trying to invent one and wondered if anyone had any ideas/advice on how to progress after my prototype version, re publishing, marketing, prining, companies that do such?

A friend met a man on a train who was over the moon after he'd demonstrated his game to Waddingtons in London. They agreed to make it and give him royalties. The man still had his origianl prototype with him and was actually trying to sell that to any commuter who was interested.

Really?  That's interesting?  I wonder how he approached them.  I heard once has to post it first!!
