Hello friends! I hope you don’t mind, but I wanted to post the latest news about my friend Anne.

She had her mastectomy on Thursday, along with the removal of the cancerous lymph nodes & was home on Friday evening!!

She’s still waiting on the results of two biopsies & a bone scan which should indicate any future treatment needed. I’ve just spoken to her & she’s feeling ok, though fairly tired & fed-up with carrying the drain around. Her partner & friends are looking after her, so she’s not got to do too much for herself – avoiding infection is the main concern, & she’s getting used to using surgical gloves!

She genuinely enjoys all the messages of support that you post – as do I.
