Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

"Along the Road" (a local quiz about cities and towns in Britain)

The following 'cryptic' clues all relate to towns or cities in Britain. There are no given number of letter to the answer, but the first letter of the answer is given. I have tried to solve but now need the help of ABers, so any answers will be greatly appreciated. A couple of examples follow:

a) I saw no ford there (W) Ans: Watford.
b) Without a hat? (I) Ans: Ilkley.

The ones I need help with follow:

1. Too late to ask for B & B, the door is closed - answer starts with B
2. No, not where the calendar girls live - answer starts with N
3. Installation with an electrician with hiccups? - answer starts with I (i, not l)
4. Bees on a return journey - answer starts with H. (I ahve found Hive, in Yorks E R, but it is only a tiny hamlet, so presume that it is not the right answer.

Not sure about no. 5 - We didn't stop for the picnic. I have Nuneaton.

The original calendar girls came from Knapely. Perhaps the answer to question 2 is Napeley, near Market Drayton.
